A teacher for Cornerstone Learning center will be responsible for contributing to the overall environment of the classroom as well as the direct supervision of the students and any additional teaching staff present in the given classroom.
Each teacher will promote and instill Cornerstone values to students, families, and other staff members.
In addition, he/she will help to foster strong relationships with families, the church, and the community.

Be responsible for the overall supervision of the classroom and create and maintain an academically excellent environment as it pertains best practices for classroom structure, organization, layout, and operation.
Support and maintain good staff morale Plans, supervises, and implements activities and programs that meet the individual needs of each child under his/her supervision and will ensure success through a strong foundation for growth and development.
Operational
Responsibilities:
Warmly greet each family, every day, and help each child assimilate into the classroom daily.
Promote and maintain maximum enrollment in the classroom Maintains the staff schedule each day Arrives and is ready to work in a timely manner Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis Develops and maintains a strong, positive reputation in the community Maintains proper health and safety practices or policies, especially in the giving of medication, and care for injuries Assist the leadership staff in maintaining best practices for the center, as well as meeting all state-licensing regulations and standards Record and maintain weekly and monthly checklists Responsible for the overall safety of the room as it pertains to items that are broken or need to be replaced Assist the leadership staff in conducting tours and pre-enrollment visits Maintains strong, positive relationships with families Minimum requirements:
Must meet basic requirements of Tennessee Department of Education 18 or older Spiritually mature (committed follower of Jesus Christ), that has a passion for reaching children and families for Christ Lifelong-learner Ability to relate positively with young children Ability to relate and work well with a diverse staff Previous teaching experience in a childcare setting, public or private school, or a church nursery is preferred but not required Knowledge of social, emotional, academic, and physical needs of children Ability to work well with or without direct supervision Desire to work in a top-tier childcare program, passionate about providing high-quality, Christian, education to young children Ability to lift 35 pounds in conjunction with the handling of children as it pertains to the function of the program, child safety, and potentially emergent situations Job Types:
